Add Manta Ray Foot Catch?*

Product Description

ADJUSTABLE INCLINE / DECLINE / FLAT BENCH

Rogue’s Manta Ray Adjustable Bench introduces a new ladder-style, internal adjustment system that produces a clean aesthetic with fewer components than our Adjustable Bench 3.0 and even more incline/decline positions. Five seat settings (from -20 degrees to 30 degrees) and 10 back pad settings (0-85 degrees) give athletes 50 different potential configurations at their disposal, with laser-cut markings identifying each angle position in the steel tube.

We’ve also developed a new front foot construction—shaped like a manta ray—which preserves the advantages of a 3-leg bench design while ensuring greater overall stability when in the decline position. A handle is built into this front foot as well, making it easier to elevate and roll the 140LB unit via the included set of premium caster wheels. An integrated storage bracket fitted with protective UHMW plastic prevents the frame and bench page from contacting the ground when stored upright.

CHOOSE YOUR BUILD

Available in 11 colorways, choose between a medium gloss or textured powdercoat finish, equipped with a grabber vinyl pad, the same used on our Thompson Fat Pad, and machined aluminum handle. At a lower price point, a classic texture black finish is available outfitted with our premium foam pad, the same material used on our Adjustable Bench 3.0 pad, and a round injection molded handle.

A removable foot catch is available as an optional add-on, providing security for the user’s feet during decline movements.

Note: The Foot Catch from the AB-3 Adjustable Bench is not compatible with the Manta Ray.

ROGUE QUALITY CONSTRUCTION

The soft, durable pad on the Manta Ray Bench is a wider 12” (compared to 11” on the Adjustable Bench 3.0) and includes a grabber-style vinyl exterior for a secure feel. With a minimal 1” gap between the seat pad and the back pad, athletes can program their functional presses and arm movements through a full range of inclines‒from shoulder presses to decline bench‒without dealing with the discomfort of a disjointed bench. Quality rubber feet are included standard for easy transport, and a protective UHMW panel prevents the frame or bench pad from contacting the ground when the unit is stored upright.

Please Note: The Manta Ray Adjustable Bench is a bolt-together unit and ships disassembled to allow for a reduced, flat rate shipping cost. It will require the following tools (not included) for proper assembly:

  • 3/4” Wrench or Socket
  • 7/32” Hex key / Allen wrench

Key Features of the Rogue Manta Ray Adjustable Bench:

New Ladder-Style Adjustments
1

New Ladder-Style Adjustments

The base of the Manta Ray Bench is our most streamlined to date, with adjustments made easily via a new ladder system that’s internal to the tube, minimizing the total number of parts involved. As an incline + decline weight bench, this model also offers more configuration options than any other Rogue bench, with 5 seat positions and 10 back pad positions, all indicated by laser-cut markings along the steel tube:

Seat Angles: -20, 0, 10, 20, and 30 degrees

Back Pad Angles: 0, 20, 30, 37.5, 45, 52.5, 60, 67.5, 75, and 85 degrees

Quality Rogue Construction, Superior Stability
2

Quality Rogue Construction, Superior Stability

Shaped like a manta ray (hence the name), the bench’s innovative front foot design improves the overall stability of the unit when used in the decline position, while still maintaining the benefits of a 3-leg format; namely, minimum interference with the athlete’s feet when benching. Each bench is manufactured in the USA, and includes a 3x4” 7-gauge steel frame, laser-cut Rogue branding, and a set of custom rubber feet for floor protection. The unit weighs in at 140 LBS and fills a 57” x 24.75” footprint. As a bolt-together bench, some assembly is required. A 3/4” Wrench or Socket and 7/32” Hex key / Allen wrench will be needed (not included).

Optional Foot Catch
3

Optional Foot Catch

A removable foot catch is also available as an optional add-on with the Manta Ray (at additional cost), providing security for the user’s feet during decline movements. This quality attachment features USA self-skinned foam rollers and in-house custom machined shaft collars.

Note: The foot catch from the Rogue AB-3 Adjustable Bench is NOT compatible with the Manta Ray.

Portability and Storage
4

Portability and Storage

Along with a convenient set of premium caster wheels, the Manta Ray Adjustable Bench comes with a machined aluminum or injection molded handle built into the front foot, making it easier to elevate and roll the entire unit to a new location. Like our Adjustable Bench 3.0, the Manta Ray can also be stored in an upright position, with no need for an add-on bracket. When folded into this position, the unit sits on protective UHMW padding, preventing any direct metal contact or creasing of the bench pad.

Wider Pad + Minimal Pad Gap
5

Wider Pad + Minimal Pad Gap

The Manta Ray Bench comes with a new version of our standard pad, measuring 12” wide (compared to the 11” standard pad on the Adjustable Bench 3.0) and featuring a grabber-style vinyl exterior. A version of the Manta Ray Bench is also available at a lower price point with the same premium foam pad material featured on our Adjustable Bench 3.0. The gap between the seat and back pad is roughly 1 inch, allowing athletes to program their functional presses and arm movements through a full range of inclines without dealing with the discomfort of a disjointed bench.

6

11 Colorway Options

Along with the original medium gloss black frame finish, the Manta Ray is also now available to order in 9 additional colorways. Choose between our 9 medium gloss frame color finishes, or a texture black frame finish available at a lower price point.

The Ultimate Bench
This has honestly got to be the most overbuilt bench in existence.. and that’s why it could very well be the last one I buy! Crazy heavy, but surprisingly easy to maneuver. Stable af, dense pad, grippy. Everyone who’s tried it loves it. Nothing bad to say here! Rogue really did it 👏🏼

Quite possibly the best bench ever made.
Debated this over the Rep BlackWing and glad I chose the Manta Ray. There is zero movement in any exercise performed, yet still easy enough to move around. A big selling point is the use of 7 gauge steel - possibly overkill for a home bench, but then just think Cybertruck HFS. Trickier to do decline presses but it can be done. I too balked at the price and hesitated a long time but feel it’s money well spent in the end. Highly recommended.

Rogue Manta Ray
I sold my previous adjustable bench and my beloved Monster Utility 2.0 to upgrade to the Manta Ray and save some space in the garage by having one do-everything bench. I have no ragrets. The Manta Ray is beefy AF and will definitely handle anything you throw at it. Shipping cost to Canada was super reasonable. The pad is perfect in my opinion, I actually prefer it to over the Thompson Fat Pad.As has been said, the only point of negative critique I have is with the handles. It would be nice if all handle touch points were knurled stainless or colour matches to the bench.

Worth the money
Well made and easy to assemble. All of the screws were already in place. All I had to do was unscrew, attached pieces, then rescrew using the instructions. If I ever need equipment in the future, I’m checking out Rogue’s products first

Best bench in the world.
I must be crazy. I'll be 80 years old in a little over a year from now and I buy a bench that weighs 140 lbs. The fact is I'm very fit and healthy so I decided on this bench. Easy enough for me to move around and stand up which is a really nice feature, very small footprint. The bench is incredibly solid and well built as are all Rogue products. It's also real easy to change the seat and back positions depending on the exercise. I also bought the foot catch with it to work on my abs. When you buy the best (if you can afford it) then the intended activity becomes a real joy to perform. I wake up every day looking forward to a workout with the Rogue equipment. In addition, I have the Rogue Echo bike, excellent. And I'm now awaiting delivery of their new ECHO rower next week. I'm really excited about that one. FYI, this review is 100% my opinion, I have no affiliation or connection to ROGUE other than being an extremely satisfied customer. Highly recommend their products

Not Thrilled, And Not For Everyone
I had done an extensive amount of research on finally purchasing an at-home bench. My biggest sticking point was finding one that would function as an all-in-one. In the end I am left stuck with a product that has caught myself saying, "I wish I bought a different bench." The bench is extremely durable (weighs a lot, which was expected), however it took a decent amount of effort to assemble this bench (which no video review really disclosed, from ones I watched). It also required the need for a 3/4" socket wrench.... which I did not own. I am not a big fan of the foot catch. It hurts my back when performing ab exercises because the angle does not allow for proper movement. The biggest issue was one I did not necessarily believe would be one, but it really is. The padding on the bench is too sticky, no matter what clothing you are wearing. You have zero ability to adjust yourself once you lay down. I hope that the padding issue can be rectified somehow. I also hope to somehow find a different foot catch too. Time will tell.

A bit much for a home but I like it
Rock solid bench. Well built. A little cumbersome to assemble alone. But it’s sturdy and easy to adjust and maneuver.

A Simple Tank of a Bench!
Was debating on this or the REP Blackwing. It was very hard to pull the trigger and pay nearly double for a bench. Ultimately, what won me over is a more simplistic design (less to break or go wrong down the road), amazing pad, and build quality. Now that I've had some seat time, I'm extremely impressed with this bench. It's lighter than I thought to move around. The pad gap is basically non existent at any angle and I don't notice it when it's flat. The foot catch is perfect as well; built well and premium materials. I have no doubts this will last me a very long time. I truly appreciate that there aren't a bunch of knobs to twist/tighten, etc like the Blackwing. This is just simple and it WORKS. Lastly, it's also just a beautiful, beefy bench! Again, it's not cheap, but for as many years as I'll own this, it's 100% worth it in the end.
