Designed Specifically for Hip Thrusts
1

Designed Specifically for Hip Thrusts

As an increasingly popular lower body strength training exercise, the hip thrust has been proven effective for developing the glutes (as well as the hamstrings and quads) with far less loading on the spine than traditional barbell squats. This also makes it an excellent option for rehabilitation work. In the movement, the barbell is placed across the hips as the athlete sits on the floor. With each upward thrust of the hips, the shoulders also elevate and level out, which is where the Monster Hip Thruster Bench comes in—providing leverage and padded protection through each rep.

Easy Set-Up in Monster Rack/Rig

Compatible ONLY with Rogue Monster Series units, the Monster Hip Thruster Bench offers space efficiency and convenience for any size gym, as the attachment ships fully assembled and can be quickly installed and taken down as you move through a regimen. The bench features formed channels on each end that can be secured to the uprights using the provided pair of 1" Monster detent pins.

Each Hip Thruster Bench is manufactured in the USA using a 2x4" 11-gauge steel tube welded to 5/16" thick formed end plates with a MG Black powdercoat finish. Around the tube is a U-shaped, vinyl-covered pad that measures 2.25" thick on the top and 1.5" thick on the sides—protecting the back from contact with any hard steel surfaces as you train. The pad is 41” long in total and 7” deep. The entire attachment weighs in at approx. 36 LBS.

Versatile attachment, worth the $$
Well built product my wife loves and it is versatile. Only downfall is the weight of the product that makes it difficult for my wife to hold it in place and pin it to the rack. Other than that its a great product and she has figured out her way of putting it in place.

A great addition
This thing is a great addition. I probably would never do barbell hip thrusts if I had to use a bench since the height wouldn't feel right. But since getting this, they've become a regular feature of my workouts. Initially it didn't quite fit on my rack, but thankfully there are little spacers on it that you can remove, so there is a small amount of adaptability (maybe 1/4" on each side) and I could make it work well.

Multiple applications
I got this shortly after buying my monster rack and am so glad I did. I of course use it for hip thrusts and it is awesome for that purpose - so much more stable than using my bench. I also use it to anchor my legs for lat pulls (install it upside down) and for a pad to push my knee against for standing single leg hamstring curls (using the Rogue ankle cuffs which I also highly recommend). I then realized that if I lower the pad a little more and sit on it I can do leg extensions (one leg at a time of course). It's a little awkward at first but it works. Be forewarned, it is somewhat heavy and awkward to move around so be very careful installing and moving it around your rack or you can easily ding it and mar the finish like I have on multiple occasions. A little rust oleum touch up bottle has helped cover up the blemishes thankfully.

Nice bench
This is a very nice bench, and as another reviewer mentioned it makes a nice seat. It is probably best if it has a dedicated spot on your rig and doesn't have to be moved often. My wife and daughters who use the rig find it a bit heavy and can't move it. Plus, because it is so well made, it must be precisely aligned to get the detent pins in place. That can be difficult while trying to balance the bench across its 43" span. I devised some cone shaped rods to use as an alignment tool.

Perfect for hit thrusts
Had this for a few weeks now. It was out of stock when I ordered so it took about 30 days to build and deliver. Work quality is just perfect, and materials are as good as can be. Using this for hip thrusts exclusively as an important glutes accessory exercise. Adjusts to the perfect height on my 3x3 rack which is from Squat Racks Canada. Definitely get this if using a bench for hip thrusts isn’t working for you.
